About Larry Hanson: The "Godfather of BridgePointe"

The Legacy: Larry served as Association President for three years. He was instrumental in ensuring the Dolce Vita homes met BridgePointe standards and developed the first five-year capital improvement plan.

The “Godfather”: Known affectionately as the “Godfather of BridgePointe,” he was the neighbor who was always quick to offer a tool, a bit of advice, or a cold beer in his driveway.

Community Impact: Beyond the neighborhood, he was a liaison for the KCPD, creating a mediation manual for neighbor disputes that is still used today.

The Award’s Origin: After Larry passed away from cancer in 2007, the BHOA established this award to honor those who mirror his dedication and “good cheer.
